David Bloom, Global Head of Currency

We believe one of the centres of excellence at HSBC is our foreign exchange (FX) offering. Andrew Brown, Global Head of Foreign Exchange, sees our offering to clients as a package consisting of three vital parts: sales, trading and research. Our research offering is consistently highly regarded, placing us in the top three in the FX polls. We pride ourselves on being a globally integrated team and have developed excellent working relationships with other HSBC researchers around the globe. Over the last few years, we have also bolstered our FX quantitative product, which includes academic collaborations with Oxford University. These collaborations have included the publishing of joint academic research, as well as the sponsorship of PhD students.
