HSBC Private Equity (Asia) Limited (HPEA)

HPEA is the Asian private equity arm of the HSBC Group. This site provides information on HPEA’s people, investment approach and representative investments.

HPEA advises expansion capital and buyout-focused funds (Private Equity Funds) and technology-focused funds (Venture Funds). Over its history, HPEA has advised six Private Equity Funds and three Venture Funds.  The Private Equity Funds focus on mid-market expansion capital and buyout transactions in Asia with investment sizes typically ranging from USD40 million to USD150 million. The Venture Funds focus on transactions ranging from approximately USD5 million to USD30 million, typically targeting early to mid-stage investments in technology and high-growth companies with significant interests in Asia.  Each of the fund types seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation for investors.
