HSBC in Sri Lanka has been offering sub-custody and clearing services to foreign clients since 1990 and to domestic clients since 1991. Our operations in Colombo are based on a well-established local banking presence that benefits from an integrated service and product delivery with the transfer of best practices and centralised business and system development. HSBC's Sub-Custody and Clearing operation in Colombo has the largest market share of foreign investor funds, as well as the most experienced team of any sub-custodian in the market. HSBC has an all-round capacity (management, processing and client and support services) to manage and develop the business. We also play a key role in market changes and are able to represent the interests of major international investors to the Sri Lankan authorities.
