HSBC in Dubai
HSBC is based in Emaar Square in Dubai, an area that's home to a range of different multinational organisations. Our offices are surrounded by all of the services that you'd expect in a financial and retail hub - but with an added degree of style and panache that only Dubai can offer.
Our business in Dubai
Global Banking and Markets is split into two interconnected businesses. Global Markets provides products to the rest of the HSBC Group, helping companies finance through bond issuance, or manage their day-to-day financing. Global Banking mainly offers its clients advice-so whether clients want to merge with another company, or to finance a power station, Global Banking can help with expert 'on the ground' advice.
Global Banking and Markets recently picked up seven awards for excellence from Euromoney, underscoring our focus on helping our customers. Our awards include:
Best Debt House in Saudi Arabia - HSBC
Best Flow House in the Middle East - HSBC
Best Project Finance House in the Middle East - HSBC
Best Equity House in the Middle East - HSBC
Best Debt House in the Middle East - HSBC
Mohammad Al Tuwajri, Head of Global Banking and Markets for MENA, commented:
"We're a 'full service' bank, and these awards reflect that. What I mean by this is that we can issue bonds for our clients, but we can also deal with their day-to-day financing - so for our clients who buy and sell, we can help them with their risk management and also, for those clients who trade cross-border, we can help manage this foreign exchange risk.
"So, we're there for clients who are doing major transactions and need advice or financing, but we can also help with regular financial products. That's very significant as, historically, many clients have seen banks as falling into either category - rather than both."
