The Americas
In the Americas, HSBC offers a full range of tailored financial products and services to government, corporate and institutional clients through our main subsidiaries: HSBC Bank USA, N.A. and HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. Our Global Banking and Global Markets teams bring experience and expertise to areas ranging from structured finance and asset management, to private equity, treasury and capital markets. With access to the global resources of the HSBC Group and connections to our global network, we provide a comprehensive suite of banking services with a focus on emerging markets.
Our business in the USA
In times that are changing - and challenging - HSBC offers unique opportunities. Stability, our relative credit strength and our focus on emerging markets all position us to succeed. Our global network makes us invaluable to US clients. Today, the three main drivers in markets are China growth, European financial stability and Brazil. We're central to all three, which allows us to connect our US clients to opportunities around the world.
When a corporate client calls us, it may not be about US issues, it could be about a wider international concern that these drivers are having an impact on.
We have major offices in New York City, Toronto, Sao Paulo and Mexico City.
HSBC in New York
The HSBC headquarters for North America is located in midtown Manhattan, just south of Times Square and along 5th avenue. The HSBC Tower is conveniently located across the street from New York City's popular Bryant Park, where the midtown office crowd go for a relaxing lunch or meet after work.
"We are valuable in the USA not only because of what we do there, but because of the global knowledge we bring to our clients." Carlos Pablo Pizzimbono, Head of Sales, Americas
HSBC in Toronto
The HSBC building in Toronto is in the city's financial core, where Wellington and York Streets meet. In an area dominated by towering developments, the HSBC building, with its distinctive exterior and lack of pretension, stands apart from the rest.
HSBC in São Paulo
São Paulo is Brazil's main financial hub, and HSBC's distinctive offices in the city are on AvenidaPaulista. Once home to coffee barons and early industrialists, the area now houses skyscrapers, banks and businesses.
HSBC in Mexico City
Torre HSBC (HSBC Tower) on the Paseo de la Reforma is our headquarters in Mexico City. One of the tallest skyscrapers in the capital, Torre HSBC is an award-winning and environmentally friendly building - the first of its kind in Latin America. Situated opposite Mexico City's official symbol, the Angel of Independence, around 2,800 people work here.
