Global Analyst Induction Programme

Full-time Global Analyst Induction Programme
Who can apply

The Global Analyst Induction Programme (GAIP) is open to students in their final year of university or who have already graduated. We welcome both Bachelors and Masters students and have a dedicated MBA Associate Programme for MBA candidates.

What you can expect

At HSBC, we're committed to the learning and development of our Graduate Analysts. Our goal is to become the world's leading international bank and the personal and professional progress of our people is one of the cornerstones of our strategy.

Join GAIP and you will experience a stimulating combination of classroom-based interactive technical and behavioural skills training - alongside hands-on work in your chosen business area. All of this is designed to help highly credible new Analysts develop into the influential specialist professionals of tomorrow.

Gain a deep, global understanding

Our programme will provide you with a deep understanding of HSBC's competitive advantages, strategy and clients. It will start with an in-depth four-to-six week induction for all our Analysts globally. Held in London, it acts as an introduction to our culture, strategy and values. The technical and regulatory training you receive will be bespoke to your programme area and ensures you have the skills and knowledge to start your career at HSBC. This is complemented by a core behavioural skills programme covering such aspects as influencing, personal brand, presentation skills and dealing with challenging situations-critical in a client-facing business.

Connect to our culture

Our dedicated and structured programme will open up the world of HSBC to you. It will connect you to our culture, ethics, values and business principles. You'll learn about HSBC's values - dependable, open and connected - and we'll demonstrate them in action. You'll also gain experience networking with your fellow peers from across our global network.

Supporting your performance, learning and network

At HSBC, we want you to reach your personal and professional potential. We also expect the highest levels of performance from all our Analysts. Ongoing development is vital, and our continuous learning curriculum will support you fully. Throughout your programme, you can expect a mixture of formal assessment, regular feedback and continuous support and coaching from your Analyst Development Adviser, your line manager, mentor and a buddy who's also experienced GAIP.

How you'll benefit

HSBC's culture is based on recognising people on merit. This means your achievements will be acknowledged and your career advancement will be based on your performance. We will also make sure that you are in constant contact with your peers in the different hubs across the globe, so you can form valuable international networks.
