HSBC Securities Services (HSS) is one of the world's leading securities services providers, with leadership in many of the markets in which we operate. HSS has more than US$5.7 trillion in assets under custody globally and US$2.5 trillion in assets under administration globally (as at 31 March 2011). HSS is a strategically important component business of HSBC's award winning Global Banking and Markets business that contributes 30-40% of the Group PBT.

HSS plays a pivot role in the global financial services industry. Working with financial institution's that manage large pools of assets, such as institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments and multinational corporations, HSS provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic securities services to those managers. These include safekeeping their assets, facilitating their investments across a range of exchanges around the globe, valuing and accounting their pools of assets, managing flows into and out of the pools of assets, or facilitating the issuance of debt. These are commonly referred to as custody, fund administration, corporate trust and loan agency services.

This 2 year programme in London or Hong Kong comprises of 4 distinct six month placements across various areas of the business, offering you a comprehensive insight into the HSS business, exposure within our key hubs, in addition to one international rotation at a time when global experiences is becoming increasingly important.
