The Finance team works in partnership with the business to provide relevant financial analysis, improve the efficiency of its financial processes, manage local, regional and global regulatory changes and oversee a strong control environment. This is a large business area with a global network and many different responsibilities. Our departments

We have opportunities in a variety of departments:

Product Control participates in due diligence processes, examines risk, performs independent price verification and carries out balance sheet analysis, reconciliation and substantiation.

Business Information, Planning and Analysis provides global management information for Global Banking and Markets aligned to the current business framework.

Finance Regulatory and Accounting Policy works with the business to formulate regulatory and accounting policy, provides regulatory and accounting advice on new transactions, as well as supporting the hedge accounting structure.

Operational Risk and Internal Control ensures that the control environment front to back is robust to mitigate our exposures to operational risk losses. It performs root cause analysis on losses and follows up on individual mitigating actions as well as performing thematic reviews on cross business-line issues such as trade capture.

Chief Finance Office CFO (lines of business) oversees and controls the end-to-end process for Finance globally. This consists of:

• Global Markets CFO
• Global Banking CFO
• Finance CFO

What we offer

Our Graduate Analysts will take part in HSBC's global induction programme, followed by Finance training before you start your first rotation. This training will provide you with the grounding required to start your career in Finance. This two-year, four-rotation programme, offers a unique offering of supporting your study towards the ACA qualification.
