HSBC announces senior appointments for Global Research

HSBC has appointed Zhang ZhiMing as Head of China Research, HSBC Global Research. He reports to Dilip Shahani, Head of Global Research, Asia-Pacific, and Chris Georgs, Head of Equity Research, Asia-Pacific.

Mr Zhang is responsible for research in China across various asset classes as well as helping to coordinate broader China research on themes and topics across all asset classes. He will continue to be based in Hong Kong.

In addition, Qu Hongbin and Frederic Neumann have been appointed Managing Directors, Co-Heads of Asian Economic Research. While managing the regional economic research team, they are jointly responsible for further developing HSBC's Asia-Pacific economic products and ensuring broad and seamless delivery of research offering across the HSBC platform. They continue to report to Stephen King, Group Chief Economist and Mr Shahani.
