HSBC achieved a number of Top 10 rankings in the latest European Extel Survey, significantly improving many of its rankings from last year's survey.

European Sector Research highlights:

  • Telecom Services - 1 overall for the 2nd year running
  • Luxury Goods - 2 overall, up from 3
  • Banks - 3 by UK Fund Managers
  • Renewable Energy - 4, up from 6
  • Climate Thematic - 6, up from 23
  • Thematic Research - 6 overall
  • SRI - 7, up from 15
  • SRI/Sustainability - 7overall, up from 12 last year
  • Real Estate - 7 by UK Fund Managers
  • Speciality and other finance - 8 overall, up from 15
  • Insurance - 9 by UK Fund Managers
