HSBC performed strongly in this year's FX Week Best Banks Awards, winning six awards overall including 'Best Bank for FX for Corporates' and winning two out of three of the emerging markets categories. HSBC also dominated the number of top nominations from corporates across all categories and, overall, won more awards and top nominations from banks, corporates and investors than any other bank.

HSBC won the following top awards:

  • Best Bank for FX for Corporates
  • Best Bank for Forward FX
  • Best Bank for FX in Asia-Pacific
  • Best Bank for Emerging EMEA Currencies
  • Best Bank for Emerging Asian Currencies
  • Best Bank for FX Research and Strategy

In winning the awards for Asia-Pacific, Emerging EMEA Currencies and Emerging Asian Currencies, HSBC's strengths in emerging markets were recognised by the market as we also received the top nominations from the banks, corporates and investors who were surveyed for these categories. Highlighting that "customers look to HSBC for stability", FX Week also said "HSBC has held on to its title of best bank for foreign exchange in the Asia-Pacific, as customers flock to dealers with a long-standing history in the region during the market turmoil." FX Week added "HSBC has continued to reign as the best bank for emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) currencies supported by its strong presence in the region."

In addition to winning the 'Best Bank for FX for Corporates', HSBC received the top nominations in the following 10 categories from the corporates who were surveyed:

  • Best Bank for Forward FX
  • Best Bank for FX in Asia-Pacific
  • Best Bank for Dollar/Sterling
  • Best Bank for Emerging EMEA Currencies
  • Best Bank for FX in London
  • Best Bank for Euro/Yen
