HSBC's Corporate Trust and Loan Agency (CTLA) business has been named Trustee of the Year 2006 by International Securitisation Report (ISR). This is the first time HSBC has won the prestigious ISR award, which further affirms HSBC's reputation as one of the leading service providers in the corporate trust industry.

CTLA provides a comprehensive range of trustee, agency and transaction management services in support of both domestic and international capital market activities. With an extensive network covering multiple locations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas, CTLA is able to leverage its global reach and local expertise to manage its transaction activities which are co-ordinated through the main centres of London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Charles Song, Global Head of Corporate Trust and Loan Agency, said: "I am delighted and extremely proud of our win. This is the first time that HSBC has won the Trustee of the Year award from ISR. The award demonstrates the success of CTLA's business model which is well-liked by our clients.

"HSBC's CTLA business has strengthened significantly over the past few years which has placed us in the leading position as the provider of choice in the structured finance arena. This win is testament to HSBC's ability to provide truly local and global trust solutions to clients that is unmatched by other service providers. I look forward to further successes for our business in the future."

CTLA continues to be an influential player in each of the markets in which it does business, and has successfully completed a significant number of deals in 2006, many of which were innovative in structure and the first of their kind in the industry.
