- Bring your Rubik's Twist into a line as above with white currencies on top, red below. This is the base position. Always hold this position while making your turns.
- The numbered pieces never turn, they remain in the base position.
- The unnumbered pieces to the left and right of the base pieces turn - always twist the pieces toward you.
- Unnumbered pieces can remain in the base position 0 or can turn 1, 2 or 3 times. Therefore the position of turning will be 1, 2, 3 or 0.
- The instruction code will state whether the triangle which must be twisted is to the Left (L) or Right (R) of the stated numbered piece.
- The code looks like this: Piece number - right or left side - position. Therefore 11L1 means turn the piece on the left hand side of triangle 11 once.
